We have an exceptional opportunity for a Business Development Manager / Contract Manufacturing to join one of our largest clients in the automotive aftermarket.  Your focus will on taking their manufacturing capabilities to acquire new tube and hose fabrication business opportunities with heavy duty truck, construction machinery / equipment, HVAC, motion-fluid control and industrial market segments

Responsibilities:

  • Actively seeks and acquires new tube and hose fabrication business opportunities with heavy duty truck, construction machinery / equipment, HVAC, motion-fluid control and industrial market segments
  • Manages several projects at one time
  • Help to strategically determine where to expand the business
  • Stays informed of customer business opportunities, account changes, current conditions, future prospects, and competitive landscape to protect revenue from competitors
  • Actively maintain the CRM tool to allow for a real-time assessment of the tube opportunity-based pipeline value/status and health
  • Establish sales priorities
  • Interface with other departments in a fast paced environment
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise related to company and industry
  • Mentor sales department personal
  • Manages several projects at one time

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Must have 7+ years industry experience – developing / selling B2B contract manufacturing projects
  • Must have a hunter mentality be a proven performer with a successful track record in contract manufacturing / remanufacturing to OEMs.
  • Hose and Metal Tube fabrication experience is highly valued 
  • Possess a strong understanding of contract manufacturing and how it plays into components for the automotive / truck / construction equipment / HVAC market place
  • Experienced in new product development and part design for manufacturability 
  • Solution oriented, capable of listening to customers, developing solutions, problem solver
  • Able to drive and position the “technical close”, present different solutions, best solutions for customer need, convincing customer technical teams we are the right partner
  • Able to effectively call on all levels of the customer hierarchy and multiple functions (Operations, Engineering, Marketing) of major OEM companies.
  • Ability to analyze information and effectively communicate to customers and all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker who can prioritize opportunities and targets to achieve results
  • Able to assess the financial impact of deals & opportunities
  • Skilled in negotiations
  • Must be willing to do national travel to potential clients across the country.
  • Advanced education is a plus.
  • Professional certifications / sales training is a plus.
