We have an outstanding role for a Maintenance Manager to join a manufacture / distributor of automotive aftermarket parts located near Nashville.  They are in need of strong leadership to organize, mentor and train the team up to new levels!  The client is looking for hands on style of leadership with the ability to set best practices in preventative maintenance and hold people accountable This is a role that you can make a difference in and contribute to the bottom line of the team! 

 

This is in a family friendly area of Tennessee near Nashville, with a Cost of Living that is 12% below the US average. Your duties include: 

 

  • Establishing preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Assigning tasks / work orders to maintenance team
  • Establishing preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Ensuring compliance with documented procedures
  • Ability to lead/manage within a fast paced environment that requires a sense of urgency from the position and will instill this in their direct reports.
  • Implementing continuous improvement
  • Designs and implements Total Productive Maintenance program site-wide while tracking OEE metrics.
  • Generate monthly reports on costs, labor, and equipment usage/ availability.
  • Coaching, training, mentoring and developing the maintenance staff.
  • Preventative maintenance and maintenance planning
  • Reducing unplanned failures on production and facility equipment.
  • Responsible for installation and maintenance of machinery, equipment
  • Oversees work performed by outside contractors as necessary.
  • Managing building maintenance / expansion projects.
  • Schedules and performs preventative maintenance checks and keeps related records.
  • Troubleshoots problems with plant machinery and equipment.
  • Maintenance of the building and/or yards
  • Supervises preventative maintenance and any emergency repairs of plant equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Associates Degree or 5-7 years practical knowledge of manufacturing / machining equipment maintenance
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing plant
  • Must have experiences with CNC machining center, robotic, conveyor and assembly machine maintenance
  • Looking for a “ Hands On” leader for this role not leading from behind a desk.
  • Previous maintenance supervision and or project management experience.
  • Experience in mechanical, pneumatics and electrical repair
  • Must have strong leadership, motivational and training skills
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lead / manage with a sense of urgency and instill this into your direct reports.
  • Experience working with and managing outside contractors
  • Professional certifications are a plus
  • Experience with PLCs / robotics is a plus
  • Advanced degree a plus.
