We have a Confidential Sales Leadership role with an established company serving multiple manufacturing industries. We are looking for a skilled sales leader to expand the customer base and mentor/train the sales team for growth.  Your focus will be directing the sales team on going higher/deeper/wider with existing clients while balancing their time to develop new business opportunities across equipment/industrial market segments.


There is flexibility on the location as the company headquarters is on the western outskirts of Louisville, KY as this is a traveling position.   • College degree
  • Must have 5+ years of industry sales leadership experience – developing teams selling B2B components / parts to Tier 1, 2 or OEM manufacturers across multiple industries
  • Metal component experience is a plus
  • Possess a strong understanding of engineered products and how they fit into OEM and Tier manufacturers supporting multiple industries
  • Solution-oriented Sales Leader, capable of mentoring / developing / coaching a team to maintain existing business and prospect for new opportunities
  • Able to drive and train the “technical close”, present different solutions, best solutions for customer need, convincing customer technical teams we are the right partner
  • Able to effectively call on all levels of the customer hierarchy and multiple functions (Operations, Engineering, Marketing) of major OEM companies.
  • Ability to analyze information and effectively communicate to customers and all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker who can assess the financial impact of deals & opportunities
  • Skilled in negotiations and possess well developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel to potential clients with the sales team
  • Advanced education is a plus.
  • Professional certifications/sales training is a plus.


  • Actively manages the sales team to seek and acquire new business opportunities
  • Leads, trains and mentors the sales team to develop a pipeline to meet / exceed sales goals
  • Develop quarterly sales projections and individual territory targets and plans
  • Help to strategically determine where to expand the business
  • Stays informed of customer business opportunities, account changes, current conditions, future prospects, and competitive landscape to protect revenue from competitors
  • Establish sales priorities
  • Interface with other departments in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise related to company and industry
  • Identifies and sets growth goals that include new business targets while expanding the business beyond automotive OEMs.
