We have an exceptional opportunity for a Regional Sales Account Manager to join a 50-year-old manufacturer serving OEM, Tier 1 manufacturers across multiple manufacturing industries including equipment, automotive, truck, fluid control, machinery, energy, and climate control industries in Michigan. We are looking for a sales professional who can identify and connect the opportunities with OEM and assembly manufacturers.  

Your focus will be on going higher/deeper/wider with existing clients while balancing your time to develop new business opportunities within these heavy-duty trucks, construction machinery/equipment, motion-fluid control, and industrial market segments.

There is some flexibility in the location around the Detroit Michigan area as this is a traveling position that will cover additional states.   • Actively seeks and acquires new business opportunities with heavy-duty truck, construction machinery/equipment, HVAC, appliance, motion-fluid control, and industrial market segments
  • Help to strategically determine where to expand the business
  • Stays informed of customer business opportunities, account changes, current conditions, future prospects, and competitive landscape to protect revenue from competitors
  • Actively maintain the CRM tool to allow for a real-time assessment of the opportunity-based pipeline value/status and health
  • Establish sales priorities
  • Interface with other departments in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise related to company and industry
  • Manages to grow sales in existing accounts while developing new business

  • College degree preferred
  • Must have 5+ years of demonstrated industry sales experience – developing/selling B2B in Tier 1, OEM accounts
  • Must have a hunter mentality be a proven performer with a successful track record with Tier 1, OEM, and industry manufacturers
  • Metal component experience is a plus
  • Possess a strong understanding of manufacturing and how it plays into components for the automotive / truck/construction equipment / HVAC market place
  • Solution-oriented, capable of listening to customers, developing solutions, problem solver
  • Able to drive and position the “technical close”, present different solutions, best solutions for customer need, convincing customer technical teams we are the right partner
  • Able to effectively call on all levels of the customer hierarchy and multiple functions (Operations, Engineering, Marketing) of major OEM companies.
  • Ability to analyze information and effectively communicate to customers and all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker who can prioritize opportunities and targets to achieve results
  • Able to assess the financial impact of deals & opportunities
  • Skilled in negotiations
  • Must be willing to travel to potential clients across the multi-state territory
  • Advanced education is a plus.
  • Professional certifications/sales training is a plus.
