Duties / Tasks

  • Maintain and update the Business Plan, SPCC, CALARP/RMP, SDS systems.
  • Maintain and update FIFRA, pesticide and fertilizer registration.
  • Provide regulatory oversight and support for the hazardous waste program.
  • Remain current with environmental regulations and technology
  • provide support and consultation to operating areas and plant management.
  • Provide technical input to project design to avoid or mitigate adverse environmental effects
  • Help prepare and conduct Safety, Security, Health and Environmental (SSHE) training.
  • Identify cost effective solutions for technical and regulatory environmental issues.
  • Oversee consultants and outside laboratories.
  • Lead internal audit teams, prepare reports and track project completion.
  • Participate in incident investigation, mitigation, root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Manage agency reporting and programs to achieve compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and submit reports to various agencies as required.
  • Submit applications for new and revised permits.
  • Ensure sample collections and reports are completed on a timely basis.
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship with regulators and participate in facility inspections.
  • Compile, track, analyze and report analytical data.
  • Participate in audits, inspections and other regulatory compliance assurance activities.



  • Bachelor's degree in science or chemical / mechanical engineering fields or Bachelors Degree and 10 years related experience
  • 3+ years of related experience in manufacturing or chemical, refining or mining operations.
  • Experienced with environmental and/or RCMS audits.
  • Must have experience working with/ negotiating with governmental agencies
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal environmental laws and regulations.
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Responsible Care Management System is a plus
  • Professional certifications are a plus.
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
