Duties

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated data collection systems to provide timely metrics and analysis to support manufacturing operations.
  • Work with production leadership to define requirements for data collection and visualization.
  • Assist the project team with data collection hardware, network infrastructure, protocol design, and data processing/analysis.
  • Design and implement Andon visualization screens and management reporting tools.
  • Continuously seek improvements in equipment and process performance.
  • Monitor system performance and provide guidance regarding system storage and processing requirements.
  • Be responsive to management requests for new features or modifications to existing features.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Will consider AS with more manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, including client/server networking, SQL database programming, report generation, graphical design and organization of data for Andon visualization.
  • PLC/HMI programming knowledge.
  • Knowledge of information flow in a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess strong organization and planning skills, effective time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate highly technical concepts to management.
  • Can communicate and work well with all levels inside and outside of the organization.
  • Skilled with reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specification sheets, and component manuals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled with compiling effective and concise visual reports.
  • Ability to multitask, manage diversity, and facilitate problem solving and resolution.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.).
  • Knowledge of MES, SCADA, Inductive Automation Ignition system a plus.
  • Advanced education is a plus
  • Professional trainings/certifications are a plus
